For example, a combination of purple and pink looks charming and lends a soft touch to the room. Curtains: Frilly curtains with lots of lace in soft hues will help to provide feminine elegance to the room. Drapes with colourful designs or designs depicting themes from fairy tales make the room look enchanting and warm. You should make sure that the colours chosen for the curtains must go well with the paint on the walls and the furniture of the room. Everything should complement each other instead of standing in contrast to each other or it will lend a cluttered look to the room.
Lights: Lamps can be used to provide soft and soothing lighting for the night time. Hanging lights with coloured bulbs fitted into them can make the room seem almost magical. Yellow lights can also be used to make the room look bright and cheerful.
Bed: Basic wooden beds can be used here as they go well with almost everything. This is also very practical as your daughter's tastes are sure to change at a rapid pace as she grows older and the different and changing interiors will not look out of place alongside a basic wooden bed. Different coloured bed sheets that your daughter can change herself according to her moods everyday can be bought. Knick Knacks: Everything to be placed in the bedroom need not be planned as it takes the fun out of spontaneous decorating that your daughter can do herself. The room can be given a personal touch by placing arts and crafts made by her that she takes pride in displaying.
